Directors

The Board of Directors is accounatble for the running of the trust and the academies within it. The Board is made of three members, who are the orginal founders of the trust, representatives from each academy within the trust, some community directors and the Executive Headteacher. They have decided that each academy will be managed by a local governing body and has delegated many of its responsibilites to those local governing bodies.

Declaration of Interests (Pecuniary Interest)

At Bourton Meadow Education trust we have no Director's that have declared a Business Interest (Pecuniary Interest). It is recorded at all meetings and signed once year (last recorded in October 2015).

Local Governing Bodies

BMET understands the crucial and important role of local governors in driving forward educational attainment and achievement at all our academies.
 
The governors collectively provide a challenge and support function to the Headteachers and the Leadership Teams. The setting of rigorous and clear targets, and the frequent detailed monitoring and questioning of progress, is fundamental to providing the educational aspirations that BMET desires for all its pupils.
 
The Local Governing Body (LGB) of an academy is responsible for ensuring that it is run to promote pupil achievement. Its duties include:
Setting strategic direction, policies and objectives
Approving the school budget
Reviewing progress against the school’s budget and objectives
Challenging and supporting the Headteacher.
